About the role:
The Process Plant team are currently seeking a Trainer & Assessor Electrical to join them on a 4 Days on, 3 Days off Roster based at Roy Hill mine site. Reporting to the Superintendent Training the Trainer Assessor – Electrical is responsible for assessing training needs, developing and delivering targeted training programs, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. The Trainer Assessor - Electrical will collaborate closely with operational teams to support workforce development and promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety and operational effectiveness and efficiencies.
Duties:
- Delivery of existing training modules to maintainers and operators of all process plant electrical equipment including Siemens, VSD’s, protection relays and HV Switchgear
- Upskill electricians with fault finding, calibrating instrumentation, commissioning of equipment
- Provide knowledge and understanding in control systems PLC’s with the ability to be able to adapt to site base software and databases.
- Contribute to the development of training documentation, safe work procedures, standard operating procedures, guidelines and manuals
- Drive continuous improvements and identify areas that team members require additional support
- Monitor, update and maintain training needs analysis and records for employee’s recording in Roy Hill LMS
- Ensure compliance of Roy Hill safety initiatives, policies and procedures in accordance with Health & Safety legislation
Skills and Experience:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessing
- A Grade Electrical License
- Trade Qualification in mechanical/electrical discipline
- HV Switching Certification
- C Class Australian Drivers License
- Certificate III/IV Instrumentation, High Risk Works desirable
