About the role:
The Non-Processing Infrastructure (NPI) team at Roy Hill is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Utilities Supervisor to join their dynamic team.
Reporting to the Superintendent of NPI Projects & Utilities, you will hold a key supervisory role in the maintenance and operation of hydrocarbon management including the delivery of fuel, lubricants, coolants, hydrocarbons and Potable Water to mine site facilities. Additionally, you will oversee the maintenance of sealed and unsealed road networks, as well as on-site waste management.
In this pivotal role, you’ll lead a team of operators, ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards while driving continuous improvement across our NPI operations. At Roy Hill, your work will directly support our mission of safely delivering high-quality iron ore to global markets.
Duties:
- Supervise the day-to-day operation of diesel fuel and potable water deliveries.
- Oversee the maintenance of internal sealed and unsealed roads, and waste management contractors.
- Lead and manage a team of operators to ensure efficient and effective delivery of hydrocarbon services.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with health, safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
- Plan, prioritise, and coordinate daily work schedules to meet operational and site requirements.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, conduct inspections, and report on system reliability and improvement opportunities.
- Work collaboratively across departments to ensure seamless delivery of utility services.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency and performance.
Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated expertise in the storage and handling of bulk hydrocarbons, delivery systems, and contractor management.
- Proven track record of leading high-performing teams, ideally with 5 years of experience in a mining environment.
- Hold a WA Statutory Supervisor S26 certification.
- Strong ability to lead and manage a team of operators, including fuel distribution drivers and waste management coordinators.
- Exceptional leadership and team coordination skills, with a strong focus on safety.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently without direct supervision.
- Valid manual C Class driver’s licence required.
Desirable
- Hold a current multi-combination (class MC) licence
- Hold a current dangerous goods (DG) licence
