About the role:

 

The Fixed Plant Maintenance team is seeking a Superintendent Mechanical Maintenance to join us on an 8/6 days-only roster at Roy Hill Mine.

 

In this key leadership role, you’ll guide a team of Supervisors and Schedulers to ensure the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of all mechanical maintenance activities.

Duties:

 

 

  • Ensure that executable maintenance schedules are developed and aligned with Mine Process Plant Maintenance strategies and life of asset planning, including sustaining capital
  • Monitor and report against the maintenance planning work schedules and elevate unplanned and non-routine activity or performance to direct reports/peers
  • Demonstrate, and as part of the leadership team lead the development of a strong business improvement culture to ensure integration, cooperation and collaboration across all business areas, as well as ongoing cost reduction and increased reliability
  • Lead site supervision of contractors during shutdowns ensuring safety, productivity and commercial objectives are met
  • Responsible for asset management, cost control, time control, quality control, purchasing, contract administration and general site administration
  • Assist the Manager Fixed Plant Maintenance in identifying and implementing initiatives that contribute to current and potential value to the business from a maintenance planning perspective, ensuring compliance to the Change Management Procedure

 

Skills and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar technical field or an appropriate trade qualification with a demonstrated combination of training and experience
  • Current full West Australian "C" class motor vehicle license or current equivalent Australian State motor vehicle license
  • Demonstrated Fixed Plant Maintenance leadership experience
  • Exposure to maintenance philosophies such as Reliability Centred Maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance, and Root Cause Analysis
  • Knowledge of the Mines Safety & Inspection Act and Regulations and experience with SAP or similar CMMS
