About the role:
The Health & Safety team is currently seeking a Superintendent to join them on an 8 Days on, 6 Days off, 4 Days on, 3 Days off roster, based at Roy Hill Mine Site. Reporting to the Manager Health & Safety, you will be responsible for providing developing and implementing the safety systems, training and execution strategies for the mining, mobile maintenance and non-process infrastructure areas across site.
Your tertiary experience as a qualified professional you will be a pivotal person driving excellence and quality standards through your team, substantially influencing the workforce at all levels.
Duties:
- Work with mining and processing management teams to ensure effective training and execution of safety policies and procedures for the operation
- Implement audit plans for assessing health & safety risks, and perform regular health & safety auditing and
- Establish and maintain a health & safety management system that aligns to current legislation
- Encourage and support the safety team proving an asset to the greater workforce
Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience at Superintendent level, demonstrating the ability to lead high performers in teams across a large workforce
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to interpret legislation and codes of practise
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed time management, organisational and computer suite software skills
