About the role:
The Processing Shutdown Maintenance team is currently seeking a Specialist Major Maintenance to join them on a 4/3 days only roster based at Roy Hill Mine. There will be a requirement for flexibility to work extended swings during planned shutdown periods, which occur three times a year.
Reporting to the Superintendent Shutdown Maintenance, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the execution of first time, infrequent, and complex maintenance tasks with-in the Mine Processing Fixed Plant.
The role will incorporate creating detailed step by step planning of the execution and will include where required involvement from contractor service providers, engineers, technical experts, execution leadership, planning and scheduling, and maintenance execution teams.
Duties:
- Assist the Superintendent Shutdown Maintenance to identify first time, infrequent, and high-risk maintenance tasks
- Work inside the process to capture and retain work instructions and documentation, including post execution learnings, to ensure improvements are embedded
- Engage with contractor suppliers, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), planning, execution, and Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to ensure execution strategies are fully reviewed and understood prior to shut execution
- Responsible for time control, quality control, planned safety, clear task planning, and contractor engagement for identified works
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar technical field or an appropriate trade qualification or a demonstrated combination of training and work experience
- Previous maintenance execution planning/scheduling experience
- Current full West Australian "C" class motor vehicle license or current equivalent Australian State motor vehicle license
- Section 44/Schedule 26 certification
