About the role:
Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for mechanical maintenance? Take your career to the next level in a vital role supporting essential water treatment infrastructure. We're looking for a Maintainer Fitter (NPI) to join our dynamic Non-Processing Infrastructure team.
Reporting to the Supervisor NPI, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of critical equipment including pumps, generators, pneumatic systems, and refuelling areas—ensuring efficient operation at water and wastewater treatment plants.
Duties:
- Perform routine and corrective maintenance on plant equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults efficiently
- Collaborate with skilled technicians and supervisors
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and reports
- Contribute to preventive maintenance planning and process improvement
- Suggest and support equipment upgrades and technical innovations
Skills & Experience:
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (or equivalent) required
- Valid Australian C Class Driver's Licence (unrestricted) required
- Solid experience with pumps, generators, and refuelling equipment required
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to best practices
- Background in the mining or heavy industrial sectors
- Experience servicing and maintaining industrial generators
- Prior experience with SAP is strongly preferred
- Effective communicator with strong teamwork skills
