About the role:

The Rail Operations team is currently seeking an Operator Train Driver Mainline to join them on a 7 Days on, 7 Nights on 14 Days off Roster based at Port Hedland. Reporting to the Rail Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing safe operation and delivery of product between the Roy Hill Mine and the Port Facility.

Duties:

• Operate mainline trains in accordance with Roy Hill's safety and operational standards
• Conduct pre-start checks and ensure the train is in safe working condition before departure
• Monitor train performance and respond to any operational issues promptly
• Communicate effectively with the Rail Operations Control Centre and other team members
• Complete required documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner
• Assist with shunting and other rail operations tasks as required

Skills and Experience:

• Certificate IV in Train Driving (Freight)
• Prior experience operating heavy haul trains
• Strong understanding of rail operations and safety procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Current valid C Class Driver’s License
