About the role:
The Port Production team is seeking an Operator Port to join them working a 14/14 Days and Nights roster, based at Port Hedland.
Reporting to the Supervisor Port Production, you will be responsible for ensuring operational issues are promptly responded to, equipment utilisation maximised and maintenance of all operational standards.
Duties:
- Operate port equipment and machinery, including stackers, reclaimers, ship loaders, and conveyors
- Conduct pre-start checks and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate operations
- Identify and report any equipment faults or operational issues
- Assist with isolations and minor maintenance tasks
- Utilising mobile machines for spillage clean up and minor civil work
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience working in a Port Operations role desired including ship berthing, ship Mooring, ship loader, stacking, reclaimer, and car dumper operations
- Ability to obtain Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
- Current WA Drivers Licence, Unrestricted C Class
- Cert III in Metalliferous Mining, Skid Steer, Front End Loader, Forklift, Dogging, Rigging and EWP desirable
