About the role:

The Port & Rail rolling stock maintenance area are an exceptional team that work closely and collaboratively together and are currently seeking a Maintainer Boilermaker to join them on a 7 Days, 7 Nights, 14 Days off Roster based at Port Hedland. Reporting to the Supervisor Rolling Stock Maintenance, you will be responsible for providing quality preventative maintenance, repairs and modifications on Rollingstock fleet.

 

About you:

As a detailed orientated and qualified maintenance professional you will bring organisation, safety and care to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across all areas of equipment within the Rolling Stock Maintenance scope to achieve essential business targets.

 

Duties:

  • All fabrication duties aligned with and including, marking, cutting, shaping, assembling, wheelset machining and joining
  • Performing inspections, servicing and repairs, interpretation and alignment of schedules and plans
  • Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Apply risk management processes and safe system practices in documentation, digital reporting and execution of work

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Australian Recognised Trade Qualification (Cert III in Engineering Heavy Fabrication or Equivalent)
  • Heavy Rigid Drivers License preferred
  • High Risk certifications including Forklift, Dogman, EWP, Gantry Crane preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills
