About the role

Our Finance Systems and Operations team is currently seeking a Systems Accountant/ Business Systems Analyst to help with finance system processes, data and overall system controls, governance and complianceReporting to the Principal Business Systems and Process, you will be responsible for providing support to the Finance team as a key subject matter expert point of contact for finance systems and business process queries and taking a lead role on system governance, controls and compliance process.

 

Duties

  • Support Finance team to ensure that core finance business system and its interfaces with other system are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Facilitate business process mappings and systems controls and governance process to ensure Segregation of Duty (SOD) compliance across all modules the ERP system.
  • Performing regular system audits and monitor compliance with system security controls including: – Reviewing SAP system user assigned roles to ensure that there is appropriate segregation of duties; Mapping of business position to SAP user assigned roles; Ensuring SAP security module design comply with the Roy Hill SAP security strategy framework
  • Represent finance and collaborate with technology team during the planning, development, testing and implementation phases of break fixes, enhancements, upgrades, and new technology applications
  • Initiate and recommend opportunities to simplify and improve systems, processes, and reporting tools.
  • In conjunction with the technology governance team, promote and manage data governance through monitoring and reporting by exception of data quality issues

 

Skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Information Technology related field.
  • SAP FICO end user knowledge /experience and demonstrated ability to interact with and articulate finance systems business requirements to SAP Technology consultants (internal and external)
  • Knowledge of SAP security governance and control process to ensure segregation of duties compliance across all SAP modules.
  • Experience in mapping and improving business processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of business process integration and interfaces points between Finance, HR, Sales & Distribution and procurements functional area will be an added advantage.

 

This role will serve as more of a business functional, governance, and business process-oriented role and may not be suited to candidates seeking a technical IT related SAP FICO or SAP Security admin role and responsibilities.
