About the role:
The logistics team is currently seeking a Superintendent Warehousing and Logistics, to join them on a flexible Roster, working between both Perth and Port Hedland Distribution Centre sites. Reporting to the Manager Logistics, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of logistics and warehousing operations to ensure the safe and timely availability of parts does not impede production, and the optimisation of working capital is realised, to manage the flow of material to and from site in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Leading a dynamic team with 5 direct reports across Perth and Port Hedland distribution centres, this position oversees a wider team of 22, driving excellence and innovation in our operations.
This role is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to have a mixture of time on site and in Perth without a set FIFO roster.
Duties
- Develop and lead a best-in-class safety culture across the physical inventory and all freight movements.
- Lead, develop and drive the execution team to deliver high quality, efficient and effective results.
- Build on the strong positive culture both within the team and with stakeholders. Establish relationships and promote clear and positive communication.
- Ensure that safety standards are maintained for all that interface with our warehousing operations.
- Report on inventory financial, service level and accuracy levels as required
- Apply, monitor, and report on inventory compliance systems
- Ensure that the SAP MRP system functionality is optimised
- Develop, implement, monitor, rectify and report on inventory systems, policies, processes, and procedures in cooperation with stakeholders
- Manage Stocktake process for all physical inventory
- Monitor and control stock levels to achieve specified outcomes
- Manage allotted assets, maintain assets, and inventory records
- Manage all Service contracts under the Supply Chain Operations area of responsibility in line with contract requirements
Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record across safety management
- Tertiary qualifications in supply chain management or logistics, or similar or a significant combination of other training and experience
- Proven leadership skills
- Valid C manual class driver’s licence
- A sound knowledge of Material Requirements for Planning, Enterprise Resource Planning systems, particularly SAP
