About the role:

The Health & Safety team is currently seeking a Project Manager Contractor Safety Management to join them on a Monday to Friday roster based at the ROC in Perth. Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective processes and systems to support Roy Hill’s contractor management framework.

As a Senior Leader in the business, you will foster and influence positive safety behaviours, driving innovation, strategic direction liaising with external contracting bodies and key stakeholders, ultimately producing best practice model for the business.


Duties:

  • Lead and contribute to the implementation, execution and improvement of Roy Hill Health Safety and Environment Performance and Management standards
  • Review, manage and govern the Contractor Management Framework for contractors, including Health and Safety prequalification, onboarding and site activities, ensuring compliance with Roy Hill and regulatory obligations
  • Apply appropriate risk management processes and safe systems of work in areas of accountability
  • Implement, and monitor programs and key performance indicators reporting findings to senior management

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Logistics or Health and Safety
  • Extensive experience in a leadership role managing contractors and third parties
  • Knowledge of WHS systems, relevant legislation, risk management, investigation and audit practices
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to positively influence others at all levels within the business
