About the role:

The Asset Management team is currently seeking a Planner Assets (Fixed Plant) to join them on a 5/2 roster based in Perth. Reporting to the Superintendent 4 to 3 Shutdowns, your role will support our Major & Modular shutdowns to transition from four to three shutdowns a year. This is a business-critical role playing a key part in achieving process plant, rail and port equipment reliability and availability targets, and achieving lowest whole of life maintenance costs.


  • Complete Maintenance Strategy review through the lens of 4 to 3 shutdown transition.
  • Review maintenance strategies against the regulations and ensure they are compliant.
  • Develop maintenance strategy inspection check sheets.
  • Identify opportunities for shutdown duration reduction.
  • Identify technical opportunities and economic justification for improvements and communicate those to the required parties.
  • Review current maintenance practices and identify areas for improving costs, efficiencies, and productivity.
  • Provide technical advice to Engineering and site-based maintenance teams to ensure the safety and integrity of electrical systems across the business.
  • Liaise with site stakeholders throughout the process.


Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in an engineering or similar technical field; or an appropriate trade qualification with a demonstrated combination of training and experience
  • Planning and scheduling qualification at certificate level or above
  • Experience with the operation or maintenance of Assets.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance positions within the mining industry.
  • Sound skills in SAP maintenance module - Including Management of SAP PM Master Data including technical objects, maintenance plans, items, task lists, BOM’s and measuring points.
  • Experience with SAP Master Data processes.
  • Experience with Clue document creation tool.
  • Experience with maintenance tactics development and improvement tools such as (Reliability Centred Maintenance, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Plant Maintenance Optimisation).
