About the role

Roy Hill is offering an exciting opportunity to join our Mine Control Traineeship program. Based at our state-of-the-art Remote Operations Centre in Perth, you’ll gain first-hand experience and develop the skills needed to work with autonomous haulage and drill control systems. This traineeship will provide you with exposure to the latest technology in mine automation, supporting the safe and efficient operation of autonomous trucks and drill rigs across our mining operations.

 

What’s Involved?
This 12-month traineeship combines classroom learning with on-the-job training, providing you with the opportunity to earn a Certificate III in Surface Extraction Operations.

  • Initial Training Phase: The traineeship will include an initial training phase and off-job (classroom) units – alternative rosters will be worked during these times
  • On-the-Job Training: Transition to a 7/7 rotating day and night shift roster, where you'll receive ongoing mentoring from your dedicated supervisor and crew
  • Career Pathway: Upon successful completion of the traineeship, you'll be encouraged to apply for permanent roles within our Control teams
