General Manager Integrated Remote Operations

Join Roy Hill as the General Manager - Integrated Remote Operations and lead the strategic, operational and people management of Roy Hill’s remote operating centre (ROC) ensuring the seamless integration of mining, processing, rail and port operations to achieve optimal efficiency, safety and productivity.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead a multi-disciplinary control operations team across autonomous haulage and drills, fixed plant and rail control, short-term mine and logistics scheduling, and process control engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the development and execution of strategies to optimise end-to-end supply chain performance
- Collaborating across operational and functional teams to align operational goals with broader business strategy
- Managing budgets and resources effectively to deliver operational and financial targets
- Providing strong leadership to the IRO teams, building a high-performance culture and strong engagement underpinned by capability development and performance.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements, fostering a culture of safety and sustainability
- Coordinating reports, dashboards and performance metrics for COO and executive leadership teams
About you
An experienced senior leader, you have a passion for managing multi-disciplined teams to solve complex technical problems and are ready to embrace a new opportunity in asset to customer supply chain optimisation.
You are skilled in analysing and integrating data into daily decision making, identifying risks, addressing bottlenecks and driving safe and efficient operations. You have demonstrated success in driving operational excellence, championing continuous improvement and the adoption of innovative technologies and processes to enhance productivity and cost effectiveness.
Your collaborative approach and curiosity have helped you to develop sound technical knowledge across complementary disciplines, giving you the ability to quickly build relationships and influence in complex operations where site-based teams, technical functions and external partners need to work together to achieve outcomes. You will partner effectively with teams and functions across the supply chain to deliver consistent and scalable remote operations support across the business.

Qualifications and Experience
- Significant experience in operational leadership roles, preferably within the mining industry
- A proven track record in managing large, multi-disciplinary and complex teams in high pressure environments
- Demonstrated understanding of integrated operations and value chain management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced collaboration and influencing skills with a high threshold of resilience
