About the role

Our Integrated Remote Operations team is currently seeking an Advisor Mine Control to join them based in Perth.

 

In this pivotal role, you will report to the Specialist Mine Control and be responsible for the accurate and efficient operation of the Fleet Management System (FMS). Your key duties will include managing operational inputs into the FMS, maintaining the integrity of the mine model, ensuring data accuracy for production cycles and material tracking, and investigating and resolving any issues that arise. As the crucial link between the operational, project, and control teams, you will also play a significant role in developing feedback loops to drive continuous improvements.

Duties

  • Manage operational inputs into the FMS to optimise the mining operations and ensure the mine model accurately reflects the mining operations
  • Maintain the integrity of the production and drill cycle datasets
  • Analyse FMS data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in mining operations
  • Configure, test, and validate system features and functionalities to ensure optimal performance and reliability of the FMS
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in FMS operations and processes, and contribute to their implementation
  • Provide coaching to the mine control team and contribute to the development of training materials and operational standards 

 

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience working with AHS and conventional dispatch / FMS
  • Experience in Wenco applications and an understanding of FMS and autonomous drill control software 
  • Ability to review and understand data/metrics associated with FMS
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to communicate and influence a wide range of stakeholders
  • Exposure and previous experience working within FMS Operating Models
  • Bachelor of Engineering (mining) or other technical related qualifications will be highly desirable
