About the role

Our Shared Services team is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join them. Reporting to the Superintendent Shared Services, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of accounts payable staff to process vendor invoices and staff expense claims efficiently and accurately.

 

Duties

  • Managing the team effectively and providing guidance and support
  • Ensure operations are not delayed or impacted by terms of payment not being met and financial liabilities are correctly recorded and presented in the monthly financial statements
  • Address all vendors and internal business unit queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Establish regular meetings with relevant business unit owners to discuss overdue and outstanding invoices to keep overdue invoices to a minimum whilst ensuring that only valid and properly approved invoices are processed for payment
  • Review weekly payment runs for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure documentation (invoices, staff expense claims and payment run listings) are satisfactory and maintain proper records and filing in compliance with the various statutory, auditing, taxation, and other policy requirements of the Group

 

Skills and experience

  • Demonstrated experience leading a team
  • A diploma in an Accounting or Finance area of study or an equivalent level of experience
  • Strong experience working with SAP ERP system
  • Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong focus on customer service
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement
