About the role:

 

The Port Production team is currently seeking a Supervisor Washdown to join them on a 12-month fixed term opportunity, on a 8/6 days-only roster based at Port Hedland.

Reporting to the Superintendent Port Production, you will lead and direct the execution of both major and modular shutdown washdowns.


Duties:

  • Provide leadership and direction to all contractors, reinforcing a risk-based behavioural safety system and clear performance expectations
  • Assisting in the planning of washdown Gnatts to ensure safety, quality and schedule are adhered too
  • Lead the execution of major and modular shut washdowns, ensuring safety and compliance with site procedures
  • Assist in the commissioning of the fixed plant circuits post modular and major outages
  • Ensure all washdown Work Instructions (WINs) are updated, documented, and implemented, minimising risk and ensuring compliance with standards and permit requirements
  • Conduct gap and improvement analysis post-shutdown, reviewing and optimising plans with schedulers and area leads
  • Prepare washdown handover sheets and rundown notes, ensuring all activities are planned and executed efficiently
  • Undertake thorough and effective investigations as required, with an emphasis of engineering solutions

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience in a supervisory role within an industrial or mining environment
  • Current full West Australian "C" class motor vehicle license or current equivalent Australian State motor vehicle license
  • Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor or ability to obtain
  • Experience with SAP or similar CMMS
  • Strong computer skills - experienced in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word
