  • Performance, Retention and Profit Share Bonuses

About the role:

The Health & Safety Processing team is seeking a Superintendent Health & Safety to join them on 4/3 4/3 8/6 Days Only Roster based at Roy Hill Mine.

Reporting to the Manager Health & Safety Business Partner, you will provide Health and Safety support to the Roy Hill processing operations and lead a team of Four Advisor Health & Safety.

You will be responsible for supporting leadership in the delivery of safe, health and respect in the workplace, implementing and coaching in safety systems, and delivery of plans for the processing division to ensure the Roy Hill’s targets are met.

 

Key Duties:

  • Display and promote Health and Safety by active field-based presence
  • Contribute to the implementation, execution, improvement and monitoring of the Roy Hill HS Management and Performance Standards
  • Lead a team of field-based HS Advisors to ensure a high quality and effective support service is provided to processing personnel
  • Work with the processing management team to ensure effective coaching and execution of health and safety policies and procedures
  • Liaise with government departments and agencies, the community and other authorities as required, ensuring compliance with government health & safety regulatory requirements
  • Provide advice, guidance, and support to management on technical and behavioural health and safety matters that affect or impact the processing operation

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or Risk Management
  • Significant experience in the health & safety field
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Previous experience working in the mining or natural resources sector
  • Audit qualifications are desirable but not essential
