Roy Hill has an exciting portfolio of future projects and is currently seeking a Manager Heritage Approvals to join the team on a 5:2 Roster in Perth. Reporting to the General Manager Environment, Government Relations and External Affairs, you will be responsible for securing all required heritage approvals and developing heritage management plans that ensure our business objectives are achieved.  The role will also manage and ensure the effective implementation of the Ground Disturbance Permit process.


Accountabilities include: -

  • Securing heritage approvals for future projects
    • Development of Heritage Management Plans for future projects.
  • Formulation of relevant policies and procedures for heritage management.
  • Ensuring effective involvement and collaboration across business areas.
  • Development of effective communication strategies to promote the importance of heritage to the business.


For you to achieve outstanding results in this position, your experience may include the following: -

  • Tertiary Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Anthropology, Archaeology, Law).
  • Significant experience working in heritage and approvals within major projects in Western Australia.
  • Experience in managing a small team of professionals / specialists within a major project environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant heritage legislation (i.e. Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972, Native Title Act 1993, proposed ACH Bill).
