About the role:

 

As a pivotal part of our Mobile Maintenance team, you'll step into a leadership role where your expertise will directly influence the performance and reliability of our critical mobile plant equipment.

Reporting to the Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring your crew in the Hauling and Ancillary divisions to maximize equipment availability at the lowest possible cost, while ensuring maintenance is performed to the highest standards, aligning with OEM specifications and Roy Hill's stringent processes and Safe Operating Procedures.


Duties:

 

  • Identify the development needs of individuals
  • Coach, mentor, and support individuals to improve their knowledge, skills, and performance
  • Examine maintenance practices to improving efficiencies and productivity
  • Allocate equipment and tasks to ensure plans are followed in accordance with relevant procedures and production needs

 

Skills and Experience:

 

  • Australian recognised trade certificate and manual drivers’ licence
  • Experience in mining maintenance as a qualified tradesperson
  • Proven supervisor or leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage personal work priorities
  • Strong knowledge of SAP and work management principles
  • Ability to identify ‘risk to plan’ and effectively identify and work through containment actions to minimise the effect on the business
  • Exposure to planning and reliability engineering
  • Experience maintaining the following heavy mobile equipment (desirable but not essential)
    Caterpillar Dump Trucks (793F)
    Hitachi Electric Drive Dump Truck (EH5000/EH4000)
    Caterpillar Graders (24M/16M)
    Caterpillar Wheel Loader/Dozer (994K/994H/992K and 854K)
