About the role

We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Commercial Business Partnering Managers to join our Roy Hill Operations teams. Reporting to the site operational General Manager (GM), you will provide advice and corporate compliance to maximise the commercial value of the operations whilst managing commercial risks and priorities. As the expert and single point of contact for the GM, you will also coordinate the finance, commercial and risk and compliance support functions to deliver site priorities and improvement initiatives.



  • Support the GM to maximise commercial value from their operations
  • Ensure operational compliance to governance standards and recommend, and support, improvement priorities for corporate functions
  • Support the GM’s annual business planning activities, and prepare and manage the operations budget
  • Manage performance and cost for critical contracts and prioritise contract and procurement activities according to the MTP
  • Provide analysis of site-based business performance and work with the site leadership teams to design and implement productivity plans that improve cost performance
  • Establish and report on business unit commercial KPIs to inform and guide GM decision making
  • Benchmark performance across similar operations to identify cost improvement opportunities
  • Oversee the site business support team


About you

  • Experience in the development and control of large budgets and expenditure
  • Experience in cost and productivity benchmarking and market analysis specific to iron ore mining
  • The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in optimising operational cost performance
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience leading a team of professionals to deliver against set targets
  • Tertiary qualifications in a Commerce or similar discipline
  • Prior experience in the mining industry would be advantageous
