About The Role

The Civil Construction Superintendent will report to the Construction Manager and be responsible for supporting the delivery of projects for HanRoy at the Mcphee project site. This includes, but is not limited to, coordination and execution of site works, including handover, stakeholder engagement and project closeout. The Civil Construction Superintendent will be supported by Construction Supervisors and the engineering team.

 

Essential for this role:

  • Previous working experience in Civil Project Execution, including engineering and Contractor Management.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Civil Construction Supervision and/or management.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Contractor Management.
  • Extensive understanding of bulk earthworks, road building and drainage installation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and compliance with Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Must be able to pass a full Pre-Employment Medical, including DAS
  • National Police Clearance 
  • Full Australian Working rights

 

Key tasks:

  • Lead delivery through appropriate project management and scheduling, issue identification, problem solving, consultation, and mitigation strategies.
  • Support Project Engineers with the development of project execution plans and schedules, contracting and manning strategies, including plans to supervise and ensure adequate span of control.
  • Partake in Safety in Design reviews, HAZOP, HAZID and other health and safety focussed activities as part of delivering projects.
  • Investigate, report, and document all incidents and any safety incidents.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure all project deliverables and initiatives are executed in a timely and integrated manager, to ensure minimum disruption to surrounding land and infrastructure.
  • Oversee the site offices/temp facilities and works for the project.
  • Work with the contractors to develop plans and deliver fit for purpose solutions to achieve positive project outcomes.
  • Provide relevant information to contractors, leaders, co-workers, teams and individuals (including in meetings, pre- start, toolbox meetings, written communications, e-mail, via telecommunications and in person).
