About the role:

As an experienced Data Analyst with 3-4+ years of proven experience with Power BI, this position gives you the opportunity to work on some of HanRoys major projects. We are looking to further develop our data reporting, and this role will require the successful applicant to take responsibility for improvement, along with the implementation and governance process, to complement these changes. The aim of this project is to improve our overall reporting and usage of dashboards, implementing processes and data security.

 

This role involves hands-on work with Power BI, you will provide recommendations for integrating new data features while working closely with the business to shape their data infrastructure.

 

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Establish governance processes for data consumption and reporting, follow best practices for data visualisation and reporting.
  • Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional reporting and dashboard solutions. 
  • You will be required to build data models in Power Bi. 
  • Knowledge of AWS, GCP, Azure, Databricks.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric (desired but not essential)).
  • Develop and implement Power BI reports.
  • Identify key trends and insights into the operational business.
  • Ensure data security.

 

Your experience:

  • Significant proven experience with solution design analysis definition, testing and execution skills with Power BI.
  • 3-4 years of professional experience as a data engineer and or as an advanced level data analyst.
  • Certification in data engineering or related technologies such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Databricks.
  • Proficiency in Structured Query Language SQL and some experience with either R/Python, Java or Scala is essential.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in IT related field or equivalent is desirable.
  • Experience creating, developing and delivering advanced Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • High degree of analytical skill and sound knowledge of business procedures.
  • Proven experience in iterative development.
  • Ability to work fulltime, corporate West Perth office location, Monday to Friday.
