About the Role:

This FIFO, 18 - 24-month construction project position will lead the construction of projects delivered by HanRoy with a strong focus on safe execution of construction activities, through to the point of end user handover.

 

As the Construction Manager you will be leading the delivery of an $600m+ mine infrastructure, NPI, power, communications, camp, mine workshop and facilities, civil, dewatering, and crusher construction projects on a FIFO basis from Perth to the Pilbara region of Western Australia. 

 

The successful candidate will have had extensive experience running projects of this size in REMOTE Western Australia. This positions’ focus and responsibilities are for all aspects of the daily construction activities of project delivered by HanRoy. 

  
Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing of day-to-day operations on site in consultation with Project Engineers, Superintendents and Supervisors.
  • Effectively deliver the project to HanRoy standards, policies, and processes, ensuring compliance with safety, GDP’s, environmental, heritage and other legislation and regulations.
  • Provide mentoring and technical advice to the project team and wider management.
  • Ensure project wide compliance to the Safety Management Plan, Quality Management Plan and the Environmental Management Plans.
  • Manage team outputs across project targets, deliverables, and budgets.
  • Site wide interface management.
  • Development of the Construction Management Plan.
  • Assist in the management of the weekly and monthly reviews, project forecast, financial performance, and claims validation.
  • Build effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Provide guidance in conjunction with the relevant functional support to the project teams on contract interpretation, negotiation, management, and administration.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Extensive previous experience managing construction projects for $600m+ mine infrastructure, NPI, power, communications, camp, mine workshop and facilities, civil, dewatering, and crusher construction projects.
  • Relevant Trade or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • Project Management Qualification (desirable).
  • Collaborative management style to build close outcome focused teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in a construction execution, professional services, or project delivery environment.
  • Stakeholder and client engagement experience across multiple groups and contractors in Western Australia.
  • Current valid drivers’ license.
  • Must be able to commit to a 18 - 24 month FIFO position from Perth, Western Australia.
